For the most part, good staff and service. Good Prices. Overall, an inexpensive place for NW Calgary Professionals to take their significant others for Dining and Sports - the Ladies will enjoy the Dining, and the Men will enjoy the Sports. Less than 5 minutes away from virtually all of the Upscale Areas of the Communities of Edgemont, Hamptons, Hawkwood and Citadel. THE HEART- Of Northwest Calgary.

    There's a hostel upstairs here, largely French-speaking.
  • Calgary Tower, . (guest) wrote 19 years ago:
The tower was built in haste and in imitation of the Space Needle, which was completed in Seattle about a year before construction began in Calgary. As a consequence of the lack of forethought in design and the weather's effect on poured concrete, it looks like a shabby imitation of the Space Needle or the CN Tower, which was completed the year after the Calgary Tower. The Tower is becoming increasingly veiled by the glass office towers going up around it, which will make its inevitable implosion more challenging logistically but no less satisfying to those who regard it as a hopeless eyesore.

This place is pretty seedy. Do not go near any crowds of people here.

Various seedy-looking people are often found loitering on the south side of the pedestrian walkway. I've never had any problems with them though.
